Daniel Hope
Multi-Award winning British violinist Daniel Hope performs as soloist with the world's major orchestras and conductors, directs many ensembles from the violin, and plays chamber music. As writer and broadcaster he keeps a wide-ranging video blog on his website, has contributed to numerous TV and Radio programmes around the world, his Bow Project is an ongoing online and documentary project charting the roots of the violin, he has hosted TV shows in Germany for ZDF/Arte and has written three books in German. Under the banner Tu Was! (Do Something!) he devised a concert in Berlin's Tempelhoff Airport to commemorate Kristallnacht and produced a climate-friendly concert. He is Artistic Associate at Savannah Festival in the US and Artistic Director at the Mecklenberg Festival in Germany. His recent programme for BBC Radio 3 'The Fiddler in the Tower' was Radio 4's Pick of the Week.
